Lawless Upholstery

This has been a really fun project that I am currently working on. My client had one couch that needed to be reupholstered and then wanted a second one to be made to match. Lawless Upholstery in Concord MA is where I always go.Shane does incredible work and is wonderful to work with. Pictured are the existing couch with the cushions about to be made amd the new frame(unlike most new furniture you buy in stores,Shane uses maple unstead of plywood!) ready to be upholstered. Also pictured is Glenn making the skirts that go on the chair we reupholstered for her guest room,and the ottoman that accompanies it. All fabrics are Duralee.

Install at Lake House

We had a lot of fun yesterday installing window treatments in a house on a lake that has been recently renovated. The Duralee and Thibaut fabrics are all fun and lovely together-they really reflect the personality of the client!

Brown-y Points

This is a great soft brown and one that I love to  use with florals with browns and reds, red stripes. It is called London Stone by Farrow and Ball. The lamp is from Concord Lamp and Shade.

These toile prints are adorable on lamp shades. They come in many colors and are of Boston,Nantucket ,Cape Cod or Martha’s Vineyard. We can make any shape or size for you at Concord Lamp and Shade in Concord MA. Joan Peters is out of Osterville,MA on the Cape and is famous for her fabrics which are all original.

Blowin’ in the breeze curtains

These curtains are wonderful -inexpensive,easy to clean(wash and dry) and to me say summer and relaxation.

They are called narrow ruffle,perma-press in white and can be ordered at Country Curtains.

Ideas for Beds-Summer House

Here are some ideas for summer sleeping!

The first is a bunk bed,made by the builder for a house on the Vineyard. What I loved was the rungs on the side to scramble up to the top bunk. I thought it was all very nicely done.

The second example is a set of twin beds on these big red wheels. This is so clever-the beds can be moved around easily to create a double bed or two singles. Great idea for the many visitors with different needs that arrive in the summertime!
